Mariposa County Parks and Recreation’s Day Camp Scholarship Program received a $500 donation from Soroptimist International of Mariposa.  The scholarship program provides qualifying children the opportunity to attend the full summer program free-of-charge.  The Day Camp is for children 7-12 years old, costs $7.00 per day per camper, begins June 13, 2016 and runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mariposa County Park until August 12, 2016.

In addition to participating in international projects, the Mariposa Club achieves this mission locally by giving scholarships to graduating high school seniors, presenting monetary awards to women that are the heads of their households seeking further education, and donating funds and services to organizations such as Ethos Youth Center, Mountain Crisis Services, Manna House, Habitat for Humanity and Heritage House.
