July 21, 2016 - The California Highway Patrol reports on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 3:18 P.M. Gary Shipp, 59, of Cleburne, Texas was driving a 1994 Toyota 4"Runner. Lawrence Kellerhals, 64, of Oakhurst was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife Denise Kellerhals, 64, of Oakhurst seated on the Harley Davidson behind him.

Mr. Shipp was stopped attempting to merge onto Highway 41 southbound, from River Falls Rd. Mr. Kellerhals was traveling on Highway 41 northbound, south of River Falls Road at approximately 45 mph in the #2 lane. Mr. Kellerhals was approaching Mr. Shipp.  Gary Shipp failed to yield the right of way to Lawrence Kellerhals and pulled out into the #2 lane.

The front of the Harley Davidson collided with the left front of the Toyota. Lawrence Kellerhals and his wife were ejected from the
Harley Davidson.

Mr. Shipp was not injured.

Mr. Kellerhals and his wife were injured and transported by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Update: Late last night the CHP learned that the wife (Denise Kellerhals) succumbed to her injuries as a result of the collision and passed away last night.
