On Friday August 12, 2016, members of the Social Services Division of Mariposa County Human Services had the privilege of hosting a back-to-school event geared towards assisting local foster youth in prepping for the upcoming school year.  School supplies including backpacks, folders, writing utensils, highlighters, erasers, notepads, and much more were provided to local foster youth and families in need.  Dinner and dessert was also provided to all event attendees. 

Human Services wishes to thank the following agencies, groups, and organizations for their dedication and support of the event: Pioneer Market for the donated desserts and balloons; Pizza Factory for the donated pizzas, the Balloon Belles, Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, Mariposa County Fire Safe Council, Mariposa Safe Families, Mariposa County Health Department, California Highway Patrol-Mariposa Office, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection-MMU, and CASA of Mariposa. 

The event was a real success.  We couldn't have done it without the support of the aforementioned agencies and organizations!  We wish everyone a safe and happy school year!
