Sunday Night - Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Monday - Rain. The rain could be heavy at times.  Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Monday Night - Rain. The rain could be heavy at times.  Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Tuesday - Rain. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

February 18, 2017 - The National Weather Service (NWS) Hanford office has issued a Flood Watch beginning Sunday Afternoon through Tuesday morning.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of central California, including the following areas, East Central San Joaquin Valley, Mariposa, Madera, and Fresno County Foothills, Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings Canyon, Tulare County Foothills, Tulare County Mountains, and West Central San Joaquin Valley.

 * From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning

* An incoming strong storm system will bring a period of excessive rainfall to central California.

* The combination of already wet soils and moderate to heavy rain could lead to excessive runoff. Flooding of small streams, low water crossings and poor drainage areas will be possible. Mud and rock slides in areas of higher terrain are also possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
