January 23, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Central Homicide Unit investigators continued to investigate this murder and identified a riverside county sheriff logo17-year-old male from Perris as the suspect in the murder. At the time, the whereabouts of the male were unknown, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On January 21, 2025, multiple search warrants were served at various residences in the city of Perris and the surrounding county area. The juvenile male suspect was located at a residence in the 20500 block of Santa Rosa Mine Road and detained without incident. He was later transported and booked into Juvenile Hall. The identity of the juvenile suspect will not be released.
