Homicide Investigation Update
June 4, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that during the course of an extensive investigation, investigators from the Central Homicide Unit identified the suspects in this case as 29-year-old Adam Carl and 28-year-old Ruben Puentes, both residents of Moreno Valley. On May 30, 2025, homicide investigators arrested Carl and Puentes with the assistance of the Emergency Services Team and investigators from the Major Crimes Unit. Carl and Puentes were booked into jail for murder.
