October 6, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that Homicide Bureau investigators held a press conference seeking the public’s help in solving the murder of Cerritos College Student Edward Pyon.

Edward Pyon arrived on campus for class on the morning of July 6, 2026. Shortly after his arrival, he walked across the street to a Chevron gas station, where he was intentionally struck by a vehicle. Pyon later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information, surveillance video, dash-camera footage, or cellphone video from the area to come forward.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Edward Pyon’s murder.
