October 2, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Homicide Bureau detectives will seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of Edward Pyon in the city of Norwalk.
During the press conference, detectives will release information regarding a vehicle believed to be connected to the murder and ask for the public’s help in identifying it.
Additionally, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Edward Pyon’s murder.
Edward Pyon arrived on campus for class on the morning of July 6, 2026. Shortly after his arrival, he walked across the street to a Chevron gas station, where he was intentionally struck by a vehicle. Pyon later succumbed to his injuries.
