August 22, 2024 – Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Wednesday the Tuolumne County Sheriff's 
Search & Rescue, along with many mutual aid agencies, continue to search for Michael today in the area where his pack and dog were found.
Mutual aid agencies currently consist of Nevada County SAR, Sacramento County SAR, San Mateo County SAR, Yolo County SAR, Santa Clara County SAR, Marin County SAR, Contra Costa County SAR, Santa Clara County SAR, Calaveras County SAR, El Dorado County SAR, Bay Area Mountain Rescue, California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA), Stanislaus County Sheriff, Madera County SAR, Wilderness Finders Search Dog Teams (WOOF) and California Highway Patrol.
We are diligently working to find Michael and will update as new information arises.
