June 17, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that Homicide detectives recently released a video where they asked for help finding an SUV involved in the murder of Rosendo Herrera in San Joaquin.
Detectives have recovered a Chevy Tahoe and it has gone through the evidence gathering process. We would like to thank members of the community who contacted us and helped with our investigation.
It was shortly after midnight on October 8, 2020, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received a call from a homeowner who stated there was an injured man in front of their house located on the 9000 block of Donna Street in San Joaquin. Deputies arrived and found the man, later identified as Rosendo Herrera, to be suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies provided first aid until EMS personnel arrived and took over medical attention. Herrera died a short time later.
