June 22, 2025 - Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that homicide detectives have received new information about the 2020 murder of Rosendo Herrera in San 
Joaquin. Detectives need assistance with locating 40-year-old Rodrigo Torres Ruvalcaba related to this investigation. Rodrigo is NOT a suspect in the case; however, detectives need to speak with Rodrigo.
It was shortly after midnight on October 8, 2020, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received a call from a homeowner who stated there was an injured man in front of their house located on the 9000 block of Donna Street in San Joaquin. Deputies arrived and found the man, later identified as Rosendo Herrera, to be suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies provided first aid until EMS personnel arrived and took over medical attention. Herrera died a short time later.
