Homicide Suspect Arrested in Texas
July 30, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the United States Marshall’s Office assisted the Fresno Police Department by arresting 48-year-old Cristino Paul Rocha in Waco, Texas, for the murder of 39-year-old Paul Fiero. The United States Marshall’s Office made the arrest based on leads generated by the Fresno Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Central Valley Crime Stoppers. Rocha shot and killed Fiero on May 28, 2023, during a verbal argument near the intersection of Glenn Avenue and Lansing Way. Immediately following the homicide, Rocha fled the Fresno area, and an arrest warrant for murder was issued for his arrest.
After Rocha was arrested, he was booked into the Jack Harwell Detention Center in Waco, Texas. Rocha will be transported back to Fresno County after the extradition process is complete. Although an arrest has been made in this case, detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
