Shooting Results in Felon in Possession of Firearm Arrest 

February 22, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on February 20, 2025, at 6:45 p.m., Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 28000 block of Avenue 14 in Madera for a report of shots fired. Witnesses reported that someone driving a gray box Kia Soul shot towards their home as well as at a parked vehicle at the residence. The suspect was identified as Jessie Pulido, an individual known to the homeowners.

During the course of their investigation, deputies learned the suspect in this case reported vandalism to his vehicle, which was identified as the gray Kia Soul, to the Madera Police Department. On the morning of February 21, 2025, deputies served a search warrant at the residence of Jesse Pulido in the 600 block of S Madera Avenue in the city of Madera, where they recovered a 9mm “ghost gun” with an extended magazine, shell casings, multiple extended magazines, and over 50 rounds of ammunition, which matched the spent shell casings located at the crime scene. 

Jessie Pulido, a 34 Madera resident, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Madera County Jail on various felony firearm charges as well as felony shooting at an inhabited dwelling/vehicle.

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “I commend the swift and thorough investigation by deputies in this case. Removing illegal firearms from the streets is paramount for maintaining public safety, and the safeguarding of our community remains at the forefront of our mission.”
