June 26, 2025 – John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation recently awarded Trish Timmons a $1,000 scholarship, contributing to her certification program to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Foundation Giving Committee member Jill Harry (pictured below on the left) stands with Timmons.
Timmons was an EMT and worked in the Emergency Medical Services field in the past, but “then life happened,” as Timmons said, and she had to give it up for several years. Timmons is now able to return to her passion.

“Working in EMS is one of the most meaningful and satisfying jobs I have ever experienced,” said Timmons. “I enjoy helping people. I like the challenges and always-changing circumstances and situations that come with emergency medicine. I cannot wait to be back in the field.”
As part of its Grant Program, the Foundation offers scholarships to community members choosing a career in the healthcare field if they plan to assist people served by the John C. Fremont Healthcare District or residing within the jurisdiction of the District.
“Part of the Foundation’s mission is to maximize the health of the community,” said Harry. “Supporting people like Trish who are working on healthcare-related certifications and degrees increases our local healthcare workforce. This feeds into the effectiveness, efficiency, and work quality of our health worker network, helping the Healthcare District provide the most exemplary service to those who need it.”
