August 27, 2022 - The 36th Annual CoyoteFest will take place over 2 days this year, Saturday, September 24th from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and Sunday, September 25th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.!  For anyone new to the area, this unique event is a “small town, old timey, family friendly, Americana Festival”  right here in the heart of the Gold Country!  And for all you old timers, a big change this year is that the parade will take place at 9:30 A.M.!!!   A new treat this year, Miss Marilyn Von Piston will be at the car show all day for fun photo opps with you and your favorite car. There will be a kids area with a bounce house and more.

Saturday starts off with the Parade at 9:30 A.M., and features the open class Car Show along Historic Main St. Meanwhile, in the park there will be vendors (artisans, food, etc.), the Coyote Howl Contests, live music and entertainment.  

Sunday will feature an open class Motorcycle Show in the park along with vendors and live music.  Registration for the bike show is free! Contact Judy Hein at 209-985-6727 or heinjudy@yahoo.com.

There will be a Beer & Wine Garden in the patio of the Coulter Cafe both days.

Get your Ears on…
Coyote attire is highly encouraged!  You can get your face painted coyote style (or any other style) in the park either day, buy some ears there…or make your own.  In fact, why not make a tail while you’re at it!?!

Calling all you Coyote Howlers to sign up for the Coyote Howling Contest. There are 4 categories, all with cash prizes.  Don’t miss out on this “HOWLING” good time and your chance to take home some BIG CASH!  Sign up for either the Pups Individual, Pups Pack, Adult Individual or Adult Pack.  Each category pays 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners: 1st Place takes home $50.00, 2nd Place, $30.00 and 3rd Place, $20.00.  The cost to participate is $5.00 per individual or $10.00 per group.  And brand new this year… A Special Cash Prize of $100 dollars will be given to the overall Grand Prize winner!  All winners to be determined by our illustrious panel of Howling Judges.  For more information call Leslie Farrow, aka The Howler MC, at 209 852 2481.  Signups in the park will take place until about 5 minutes before each competition.  

The CoyoteFest is the largest, most important fundraiser for the Northern Mariposa County History Center, with the funds raised vital to keeping the museum’s doors open.  It is also the biggest, most howlingist fun event in Coulterville, so don’t miss it!
