February 17, 2023 - The TASTE of Mariposa 2023 preparations are fully underway for an exciting glam filled night on Saturday, April 1st at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. This annual event is a fundraiser for the Mariposa Butterfly Festival which for 2023 will take place on Saturday, May 6th thru Sunday, May 7th, 2023.
Last years’ successful event showcased a murder mystery film by Bill Lowe, “Murder Most Suspect”. Soon after the 2022 event the TASTE Team members had come up with, yet another, fun filled theme. The 2023 event will be a trip back to the 1920’s.
“We have a very creative bunch of team members on both the TASTE and the Butterfly Days Teams and we are always in search of fun ideas that will help us raise money for the festival and give variety as well as entertainment to our event goers” stated Carol Suggs, one of the TASTE team leaders.
The 1920’s themed event will have guests being greeted with a complimentary glass of sparkling refreshment and during the social hour they can visit stations providing a tasting of appetizers from local eateries. BB’s Catering will be preparing Beef, Chicken & Vegetarian options for the main meal. After the meal a dessert tasting station will be offered and throughout the evening there will be local beer and wine options available for purchase.
Guests will enjoy the vocal performances from JB Webb and a variety of other entertainment including a silent auction, live auction, basket raffle, and a costume contest that will be available for those who wish to participate. While period attire is requested, it is not mandatory.
The VIP tables have expanded from four to six tables this year and are closest to the stage. Those tables will have dedicated servers and plated service among other enhancements.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, doors open at 5:00 P.M. The event remains to be one of the most affordable evenings out with VIP Tables (seat 8) $640 per table and general admission (buffet service) seats are $55 per person and are available for online purchase at: MariposaButterflyFestival.net.
