November 14, 2024 – The Mariposa Fire Safe Council (501c3) is seeking contractor bids for the Lushmeadows Ladder Fuels Project - Phase One. This is a Cal Fire Wildfire Prevention grant funded fire mitigation project encompassing 160 acres of private parcels in the Lushmeadows area of Mariposa County. The project will focus on the dangerous fuel islands between residential structures. We will be looking for experienced contractors who will prioritize this project, provide a sustained effort, and can work well with parcel owners. Contractors will need access to large log chipping equipment to deal with the many log decks and downed trees throughout the project area. No timber harvesting will occur.
There will be a mandatory bid walk for prospective contractors on Thursday, November 21st.
Email director@mariposafiresafecouncil.org to receive the RFP packet, and to RSVP for the bid walk.
