July 6, 2021 - On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, shortly after midnight, Officers from the Northeast Policing District responded to the Campus Pointe parking lot located at 3090 East Campus Pointe Drive, regarding a traffic collision and a possible victim of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a white compact vehicle which collided into a parking structure of the Palazzo at Campus Pointe student housing complex. The Officers also located a shooting victim inside the vehicle who was later identified as 22-year-old (Frank Sierras). Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and continued lifesaving efforts. Unfortunately, Sierras was pronounced deceased on scene.

Investigators have determined that a disturbance occurred in the parking lot of the Campus Pointe Shopping Center. During this disturbance Sierras was fatally shot. He was able to drive a short distance away until crashing into the adjacent apartment complex. Investigators are not releasing the motive for this shooting at this time.

Detectives are currently following all leads in the case and collecting video surveillance from the area. We are asking anyone who has information to please contact the Fresno Police Department. This was the 38^th murder of the year. At this some time last year, we had 18 murders.
