July 17, 2021 - The Merced Police Department reports Daryell Robinson and Ernie Teal were arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of narcotics for sale, with gang enhancements. on July 15, 2021, at 4:35 p.m. Officer Rocha stopped a vehicle in the area of E. 19th St. and Cedar Ave for multiple vehicle code violations.
Officer Rocha contacted Ernie Teal, 27, who was the driver, and Daryell Robinson, 31, a passenger.
Officer Rocha ultimately towed the vehicle for expired registration.
Upon inventorying the vehicle Officer Rocha located a black 9mm Polymer-80 style handgun, 6.9 grams of cocaine, 5 ecstasy pills, a working digital scale, a loaded Glock 9mm magazine, and $6,340 in cash.
Mr. Robinson is a documented blood gang member, and both subjects are convicted felons and prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition. Both subjects were booked into Merced County Jail.
