February 14, 2022 - The Merced Police Department reports on Sunday at approximately 9:17 P.M., officers responded to a report an armed subject in the Applebee’s parking lot on Olive Ave. in Merced. We received reports of shots possibly fired in the restaurant, however that was determined to be a false report. Officers arrived on scene and located individuals matching the description and detained them. While conducting a safety search for weapons, one subject, a juvenile male was found with a loaded firearm in his waistband. A second male was found to be in possession of a loaded AR15 style rifle which was hidden in the bushes, near the vehicle. Following the investigation, the other involved parties of the altercation had fled. Ultimately, one juvenile male and one adult male, Antwon Robinson, 19, were arrested for firearms violations.
