March 4, 2022 - The Fresno County Sheriff's Office reports on Wednesday, March 2nd, detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Aaron Scott Jones,27, of Tulare. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on a felony charge of distributing child sexual abuse material to minor. His bail was set at $5,000. He has since posted bond and been released from jail.

On March 1st, the mother of a child receiving school tutoring reported to police that the tutor, Aaron Jones, had sent sexually explicit material to her child’s phone. The woman made the discovery while proactively checking her child’s text messages. The case was referred to the ICAC Task Force. Detectives contacted Jones, an employee of College of the Sequoias and Tulare Joint Union High School. They conducted an interview and developed enough information to arrest Jones for sending child sex abuse material to a minor.

Both College of the Sequoias and Tulare Joint Union High School have placed Jones on administrative leave.

Due to the patterns of behavior in this case, it is possible that there are other victims out there who have not reported Jones’ illegal activity.

If you have additional information about Aaron Jones, please contact Sgt. Ericka Rascon at (559) 600-8144 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867, www.valleycrimestoppers.org or submit a cyber tip at http://www.missingkids.com/home

ICAC is comprised of 64 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies spread throughout nine counties in the Central Valley. It is dedicated to protecting children online and investigating crimes committed against children, which are facilitated by the Internet and computer usage.
