March 5, 2022 - The Orange County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help to provide information related to a hit-and-run that occurred on Friday evening at Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street in the city of Stanton.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022, a vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street.

The vehicle, described as smaller in size and possibly dark green in color, fled the scene.

The 68-year-old woman who was struck was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Her identity will be released pending official identification by the Orange County Coroner and notification to next of kin.
