November 3, 2023 - Goleta, CA – Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office officials report Sheriff’s detectives are confirming the identity of the person of interest who was subsequently arrested for homicide on Carson Avenue in Goleta. The suspect, 42-year-old Marino Luis Diaz from Goleta, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, for murder. He is being held without bail.

This investigation remains ongoing and detectives plan to share additional information when it becomes available.
