Gators... In The City?? 

November 8, 2023 - San Bernardino Police Department officials report that late last month, officers responded to a call for service referencing a homeless subject occupying a vacant residence in the city's 500 block of East Santa Fe. During their investigation, they observed a couple of reptiles that were a little out of their natural habitat.

As seen in the video, two smaller alligators were found in a clear acrylic enclosure inside the residence. None of the occupants claimed ownership of the gators. Animal Control responded and took control of them. Since then, both have been placed with a non-profit organization, “Forever Wild Exotic Sanctuary,” and are doing well.

One of the occupants in the residence was detained and turned over to state parole officers for non-related reasons.
