Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Lakeside 

November 27, 2023 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that two people were injured after a fight ended in a shooting and stabbing in the East County.

On Saturday, November 25 just before 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff's Substation responded to reports of a shooting in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Deputies also found a 16-year-old boy who had been stabbed. He was transported to a hospital, treated, and later released.

A male juvenile has been taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall for the stabbing. The suspect of the shooting is still at large. Deputies and detectives conducted a thorough investigation and gathered evidence from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
