In-Custody Death 

December 19, 2023 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Robert Presley Detention Center found an unresponsive female in a housing unit cell. Custody staff and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures. Paramedics responded and assumed life-saving measures. However, she was ultimately pronounced deceased.

Investigators from The Riverside Sheriff’s Office, Corrections Central Investigations, responded and assumed the investigation. The inmate has been identified as 29-year-old Heather Hendy of Corona. There were no signs of foul play.
