Stabbing in San Marcos 

December 24, 2023 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the San Marcos Sheriff's Station is investigating a stabbing.

It happened on Friday, December 22 just after 5:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of San Elijo Road.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a woman with stab wounds. The victim told deputies she was stabbed by her 27-year-old daughter. With the assistance of ASTREA, San Marcos Deputies located the suspect on a nearby hiking trail. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Anzy McWha (27) was arrested for assault and booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

The investigation is still ongoing.
