Burglary Arrests in 4S Station 

December 25, 2023 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on December 23, 2023, at about 7:42 p.m. 4S- Ranch deputies were dispatched to an in progress residential burglary in the 6800 block of Poco Lago, Rancho Santa Fe where three suspects were seen attempting to gain entry to the residence.  Deputies from 4S Ranch, Poway, Encinitas, and ASTREA arrived on scene.  ASTREA advised that the suspects were seen fleeing the area through the canyon to a waiting vehicle. Once the suspects entered the vehicle, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Patrol deputies attempted to initiate a high-risk vehicle stop, however the vehicle sped away leading the deputies on a short pursuit. The pursuit ended when the suspects crashed into a gate of a gated community. Four subjects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After extensive searching all four suspects were taken into custody.

Multiple items of stolen property were recovered from the suspect's vehicle.  All four suspects were arrested on multiple charges. The arrest charges included felony evading, residential burglary, possession of stolen property and resisting.  All four suspects were later booked into the San Diego Central Jail on the above charges.  Area detectives from Poway and Encinitas were on the scene of the investigation.
