Operation Grinch
December 29, 2023 - Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Friday, December 22, 2023, the Imperial County Sheriff's Office along with the Imperial County Probation Department, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Homeland Security Investigations, California Highway Patrol, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and the United States Border Patrol coordinated an operation due to an influx of calls regarding burglaries and thefts in the North County areas.
Law Enforcement teams made contact at dozens of residences throughout the Calipatria, Westmorland, Niland, and Slabs areas. During the operation, law enforcement was able to make 7 arrests on warrants.
Paul Thompson (42) 1 Warrant for Possession of Stolen Property and Grand Theft in the amount of $10,000; 1 Warrant for Resisting, Obstructing, or Delaying a Peace Officer in the amount of $1,500; and an additional charge of Resisting, Obstructing, or Delaying a Peace Officer.
Jessica Atkinson (47) Warrant for DUI in the amount of $5,000.
Vincent Barrigan (57) Warrant for Brandishing a Deadly Weapon in the amount of $10,000.
Dale Sims Jr. (60) Warrant for Resisting, Obstructing, or Delaying a Peace Officer in the amount of $1,000.
Eduardo Zavala (30) Warrant for Resisting, Obstructing, or Delaying a Peace Officer in the amount of $2,500.
Donita Boarman (58) Warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the amount of $1,500.
Gilbert Carbajal (55) Warrant for Driving on a Suspended Driver's License for DUI in the amount of $2,000.
