UPDATE: Fire Investigation in Unincorporated El Cajon
January 15, 2024 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that a woman is behind bars on suspicion of starting a fire at an apartment complex in Unincorporated El Cajon.
On Sunday, January 14, just before 1:30 a.m., the San Diego County Sheriff's Department received a call with information about the whereabouts of 43-year-old Mavis Williams. A deputy from the Lakeside Sheriff's Substation responded to the 700 block of E. Bradley Avenue in Unincorporated El Cajon where he found Williams. She was taken into custody without any incident.
Williams was booked into the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility on charges of recklessly causing a fire.
