1/29/24 Update Per San Diego County Sheriff’s Department: A missing woman from Poway has been found. On Sunday, January 28 around 7:30 p.m., the Poway Sheriff's Station was notified 56-year-old Sonia Vargas had been found safe. She will soon be reunited with her family.

Missing Person in Poway
January 28, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Poway Sheriff’s Station wants your help in locating a missing woman.
Please be on the lookout for Sonia Vargas, a missing person at risk, she is known to frequent the Poway AMC movie theater, as well as the Wal-Mart and Stater Bros. stores.
On Friday, January 26, around 4:00 p.m., 56-year-old Sonia Vargas walked away from her home in the 13500 block of Robley Ranch Road in Poway. Besides having physical disabilities, Vargas has difficulty communicating.
Vargas is described as a light-skinned Hispanic woman, standing 5'3" tall and weighing 170 pounds. She has green eyes and short sandy blonde hair. Vargas was last seen wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, gray pants, white shoes, glasses and possibly a green jacket or sweater.
