February 1, 2024 - Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Wednesday Deputies had an opportunity to share their heroic experience of saving people from a burning house with several news channels.
On Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, bravery and courage were exemplified by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Responding to a distress call regarding a residential structure fire at the 2040 block of Rancho Canada Road in La Canada Flintridge, Deputy Christopher Fort, Deputy Andre Cornejo, Deputy Mitchell Laudano, Deputy Eduardo Olmos, and Deputy Joyce Lee encountered a difficult situation.
When they arrived in the middle of the engulfing flames, these fearless deputies realized a woman was trapped inside the burning residence. Without hesitation, they sprang into action, demonstrating remarkable bravery. Formulating a swift plan, they broke through a window and entered the blazing house, risking their safety to rescue her from imminent danger.
Shortly after that, firefighters arrived on the scene. After firefighters gained entry, they discovered an unconscious man. They swiftly moved him to safety with remarkable efficiency and teamwork, administering vital medical attention.
In the face of danger, these deputies displayed unwavering bravery and selflessness, risking their lives to save others. Their actions serve as a testament to the selfless actions of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, embodying the highest ideals of service and sacrifice the department represents.
