February 2, 2024 - Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Major Crimes Bureau Organized Retail Crimes and Cargo Theft Task Force detectives began an investigation of a cargo load of 58” “Hisense” flat screen televisions, stolen from the City of Commerce. The detectives’ investigation led them to San Bernardino, where they served a search warrant in the 3400 block of North Cajon Boulevard.

ORCTF and Cargo Theft Task Force detectives recovered the stolen cargo trailer containing the televisions worth approximately $70,000. Investigators additionally discovered several additional cargo trailers that were also reported stolen. The cargo trailers contained “Scotts” grass fertilizer, “Yamaha” home theatre systems, generic hand wipes, “Unifi” computer chips, energy drinks, government issued “Navy” recruit training shorts, “Arm & Hammer” Cat Litter, “Arm & Hammer” Baking Soda and “CO2” coconut water. They work in conjunction with outside law enforcement agencies, other organized retail crime task forces, and federal partners to address retail theft incidents.
