Man Succumbs to Injuries After Being Shot by Unknown Suspect 

February 17, 2024 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11:34 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Avenue La Manana, in Joshua Tree, for the report of shots fired.  When deputies arrived, they located the male victim, Richard Andrade, suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation.

Through investigation, detectives learned Andrade sustained a gunshot wound while outside the residence.  The suspect is unknown and remains at large.
