Detectives Investigate Discovery of Skeletal Remains in Wonder Valley
 
March 22, 2024 - San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on March 20, 2024, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station responded to a desert area near Amboy Road and Shelton Road in Wonder Valley for a report of possible human skeletal remains. The remains were confirmed to be human by the Coroner’s Office.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation. Identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, is pending autopsy. Further information will be released when available.
