April 1, 2024 - Grass Valley, CA – Nevada County Sheriff's Office officials report the Nevada County Sheriff-Coroner will be handling the Coroner cases from the fatal airplane crash in Truckee over the weekend.

As of Easter Sunday, the investigation remains active and ongoing,

The identification of the decedents are pending confirmation and not available for release at this time.

Aircraft accident:

A single engine TBM aircraft N960LP crashed near Glenshire Dr, Truckee, CA while attempting to land at Truckee Tahoe Airport at 6:38 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

There are two known fatalities. It is not known yet how many people were onboard.

Truckee Police, Truckee Fire, Nevada County Sheriff, Nevada County Coroner and Truckee Tahoe Airport staff were on scene.

The NTSB and FAA will be investigating the accident tomorrow.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport will update as facts become known.
