Huffing Driver 

May 22, 2024 – San Bernardino Police Department officials report that Officers responded to the area of Baseline Street and Cedar Avenue regarding a call for service. A family member of the suspect called dispatch and relayed that her adult son was huffing and ingesting cocaine. He was inside his vehicle and attempting to leave presenting a danger to the public.

Officers arrived and tried to de-escalate the situation, but the suspect refused to exit the vehicle. Officers could see him “huffing” and during their communication, the suspect told the officers he was going to resist. Officers broke out the driver’s side window and removed him from the truck. He was arrested on a felony charge.
