Homicide Investigation 

June 11, 2024 –  Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that during the course of the investigation, investigators from the Central Homicide RCSO DunlapUnit identified the victim in this case as 56-year-old, Kimberly Dunlap, a resident of Good Hope. On June 9, 2024, homicide investigators identified and arrested the suspect in this case as 58-year-old William Dunlap, also a resident of Good Hope. William was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for murder. The investigation is still ongoing and no additional information will be released at this time.

Original Details: On Saturday, June 8, 2024, at approximately 10:04 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the 25000 block of Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Good Hope regarding a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving measures, the victim, a 56-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators from the Perris Sheriff’s Station, Central Homicide Unit, and Coroner’s Bureau were notified and responded to the scene. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.

This investigation is still ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time. The victim’s name is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
