Fatal Traffic Collision

August 2, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at about 9:52 p.m., deputies riverside county sheriff logoassigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 5300 block of Goodman Way, Eastvale, regarding a major-injury traffic collision involving a vehicle into a building. When deputies arrived, they located the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle suffering from major injuries. Deputies began rendering medical aid to the driver until the arrival of the Riverside County Fire, who took over life-saving measures. The driver ultimately succumbed to the injuries sustained during the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it appears drugs were a factor. The driver’s identity will not be released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Goodman Way in order to process the scene and collect evidence.
