Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 3, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 2, 2024, around 9:42 a.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at Lakeshore Drive and Bushman Avenue in the city of Lake Elsinore. Deputies and American Medical Response (AMR) located the pedestrian in the roadway, and AMR immediately began performing lifesaving measures. AMR paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative. The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

Drugs and alcohol were not deemed to be a factor in the collision. The pedestrian’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification. This investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
