August 4, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:59 p.m., Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the area of Pats Ranch Road and Limonite Avenue, Jurupa Valley, regarding a disturbance.  During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect, 31-year-old Yorgan Rios of Jurupa Valley, pointed a firearm at the victim during a dispute.  Rios then fled the area in a black SUV.

Deputies later located Rios in his vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop.  Rios was detained and found to be in possession of ammunition but no firearm.  A search warrant was obtained for a residence on the 11000 block of Dane Drive, Jurupa Valley, to search for the firearm used during the assault.  During the service of the search warrant, 17 firearms, ammunition, and other evidence related to the assault were found and seized.  Rios was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $25,000.
