Suspect Arrested for Sexual Assault 

August 8, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on August 1, 2024, multiple victims came to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station to report sexual assaults committed by the same individual at a residence in the 26000 block of Sandi Lane in the city of Moreno Valley. Investigators from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station assumed the investigation and discovered the assaults occurred at multiple locations within Riverside County. The suspect was identified as Ricardo Flores, a 59-year-old resident of Rialto who is the religious leader of a shamanistic community at various locations throughout the county.

On August 7, 2024, at about 8:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Investigators located and arrested Flores at the border as he was returning to the United States from Mexico. Flores was transported back to Riverside County and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for sexual assault and child sexual abuse charges.
