August 18, 2024 – Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials report that deputies were patrolling the Winterhaven community in the early morning hours on August 16, 2024. Deputy Torres observed a male subject riding his bicycle against oncoming traffic and without any lighting equipment.

After getting pulled over, the subject admitted to being in possession of a knife and drugs. The subject was then arrested and booked into the Imperial County Jail where he was subsequently charged for possession of Methamphetamine (2.8 ounces) & possession of a dirk or dagger.
