Child Predator Taken into Custody

August 31, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 7, 2024, deputies from the Perris RCSO predator SchneiderSheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team began an online undercover operation, posing as a 13-year-old female. During the investigation, a response was received through electronic communication from Guy Schneider (pictured), a 63-year-old male adult from Yucaipa.

Over the next few days, deputies continued to communicate with Schneider, who ultimately said he wanted to meet in order to perform sex acts with the underaged female.

On August 30, 2024, deputies arranged to meet Schneider and took him into custody without incident. Schneider was found to be in possession of two firearms at the time he was taken into custody.

He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for arranging to meet with a minor contacting a minor with the intent for sexual acts, and attempted lewd acts with a minor. Schneider is being held on a $1,000,000 bail.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Deputy Hartert at the Perris Sheriff’s Station – (951) 210-1000.
