Homicide Investigation 

September 4, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 12:03 a.m., deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 2900 block of Rubidoux Boulevard, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Upon arrival, deputies located a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent was identified as Avelino Recardo Sanchez, a 37-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley.
