Search Warrant and Firearms Seizure
September 6, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, about 2:30 p.m., Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 along with the Riverside County Gang Impact Team served a drugs and weapons related search warrant in the 13000 block of Maplewood Drive, in the city of Yucaipa. As a result of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers seized the following:
- 9 firearms
- Thousands of rounds of ammunition
- Approximately one ounce of methamphetamine
- Approximately two grams of suspected fentanyl
Daniel Casey, a 39-year-old resident of Beaumont and William Pedrino a 54-year-old resident of Yucaipa were identified as suspects for their involvement in this case and charges will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office. Casey was booked at Smith Correctional Facility for an outstanding felony warrant for a parole violation.
The Riverside County Gang Task Force is a collaborative effort of several law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Regional Gang Task Force is one of six teams which compose the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force is staffed with members from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Banning Police Department and Beaumont Police Department.
