September 11, 2024 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help locating At-Risk Missing Person, Maya Starr Newson. She is a 19-year-old Black female. She was last seen between September 4, 2024, and September 5, 2024, on the 2200 block of West 6th Street, in the city of Los Angeles.

Maya is 5’09”, 130 lbs. with long black hair, hazel eyes and a snake tattoo on her left hand.  She was last seen wearing blue jeans and an orange sweater.

Ms. Newson suffers from depression and her family is concerned for her well-being.
