September 11, 2024 – Van Nuys, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that they have arrested a suspect in LAPD logoconnection with a series of commercial burglaries that occurred between September 3, 2024, and September 4, 2024, in the Van Nuys and North Hollywood areas. Detectives continue to investigate the case and process evidence but have already linked the suspect to multiple similar incidents in the area.

Incident Locations and Details:

On September 3, 2024, around 1:10 a.m., a business in the 13600 block of Victory Blvd. in Van Nuys was burglarized. Three suspects used a chain to secure the business doors to a Champagne-colored Chevy Tahoe SUV with a covered license plate. The suspects drove forward, removed the metal gate, entered the business, and stole an ATM machine.

On September 4, 2024, the same suspect vehicle was involved in two commercial burglaries. The first occurred around 2:55 a.m. in the 14400 block of Sherman Way in North Hollywood. In that incident, the suspects used the same vehicle and method of using a chain attached to their vehicle, forcibly removed the gate, entered the shop, ransacked the interior, and fled with unknown property. Around 3:50 a.m., the suspects burglarized a business in the 11300 block of Sherman Way in North Hollywood. The suspects rammed the front of the business with their vehicle before entering, ransacking the shop, and stealing various electronic items.

During the officer’s investigation, they were able to obtain the suspect vehicle’s license plate number. A follow-up was conducted to the registered owner’s residence. The officers located the suspect vehicle and secured a search warrant for the residence and vehicle. Before the warrant was served, a male, later identified as 31-year-old Pedro Fierros, exited the residence, entered the suspect vehicle, and attempted to drive away. Fierros was promptly detained, and the vehicle was impounded as evidence. Fierros was arrested for 459 P.C., Burglary, Booking #6877872.

Since the arrest, it has been discovered the suspect was involved in two additional commercial burglaries. The first was on August 21, 2024, around 2:30 a.m. at a business in the 14000 block of Burbank Blvd. in Van Nuys. The suspects forced entry into the business, tied an ATM machine to their vehicle, and dragged the machine behind them while fleeing. The second occurred on August 22, 2024, around 3:05 a.m., at a business in the 13300 block of Burbank Blvd. in Van Nuys. In a similar fashion to the other incidents, the suspects used a chain to remove the gate, entered the business, and stole an ATM machine.
