Female Parolee from Hawthorne Arrested in Lakewood for Robbery 

September 23, 2024 – Lakewood Sheriff's Station officials report that Deputies responded to Macy's at the Lakewood mall regarding a robbery in progress. Deputies arrived and detained the female suspect. During the investigation, deputies learned that the female stole some high value items and fought with loss prevention when they attempted to detain her.

The female was placed under arrest for felony strong arm robbery. During the booking process, deputies learned that the female suspect was just released from prison with parole conditions for a separate robbery conviction. The suspect will remain in custody pending court and a hearing from the parole board.

Lakewood Station wants to remind the community of the measures in place to enhance public safety at the Lakewood Center Mall. Some of the public safety measures include uniformed Deputies on patrol, LASD Volunteers on Patrol, Mall Security monitoring the area, and an extensive video surveillance system that assists in capturing and prosecuting suspects.
