Sex Registrant Compliance Operation
October 1, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Southwest Sheriff Station conducted a compliance check at the residences of 81 registered sex offenders throughout the Southwest Sheriff Station jurisdiction in accordance with Penal Code Section 290. 78 registered offenders were contacted and in compliance. Three registrants were determined to be out of compliance and in violation. Sheriff Investigators will follow up on these three registrants and file charges with the District Attorney.
The Southwest Sheriff Station aggressively pursues prosecution of those sex registrants who fail to comply with their registration requirements. The Southwest Sheriff’s Station will be conducting similar compliance operations to verify that registered offenders are living at their reported residences and in compliance with any probation or parole terms.
